PlatePoll

Making it fun to figure out dinner

Stop debating dinner.
Start voting.

One person starts a vote. Everyone swipes from their own phone. The most-loved pick wins — restaurants or recipes. No more nightly "I don't know, what do you want?"

Be first to know when PlatePoll hits the App Store. No spam, ever.

Your household — everyone votes from their own phone

Swipe on restaurants or recipes — the top pick wins.

The average American spends nearly 2 hours a week just deciding what's for dinner.*

PlatePoll gives that time back — let the household vote, and dinner decides itself.

How it works

Dinner decided in three swipes, not three text threads.

1

Start a vote

Pick eat-out or cook-in and kick off a vote for the whole household.

2

Everyone swipes

Each person votes yes or no from their own phone — synced live over iCloud.

3

Dinner's decided

PlatePoll tallies the votes and the top pick wins. Winner winner, sushi dinner!

One app, three ways to decide

🍽️ Eat out

Vote on nearby restaurants with live ratings, photos, hours, and delivery, pickup, or dine-in.

🥘 Cook at home

Hundreds of curated recipes, smart suggestions, and step-by-step cooking.

👤 Just me

Solo mode with personalized picks when it's only you deciding — no vote needed.

Cooking in? We'll walk you through it.

When the vote says cook, PlatePoll hands you the recipe and guides you step by step — ingredients gathered, timers ready, one tap to the next step. No scrolling back up a wall of text mid-sauté.

Questions, answered

How does PlatePoll work?

One person starts a vote. Everyone in the household swipes yes or no on the options from their own phone, synced live, and the option with the most votes wins. No group texts, no nightly debate.

Can we vote on both restaurants and recipes?

Yes. Choose "eat out" to vote on nearby restaurants with live ratings, photos, and hours, or "cook in" to vote on recipes. There's also a solo "Just me" mode for when you're deciding alone.

Does everyone in the family need to pay?

No. One PlatePoll Pro subscription covers your whole household — up to 6 people — through Apple Family Sharing. Only one person subscribes.

What does PlatePoll cost?

PlatePoll is free to start. PlatePoll Pro is $14.99 per month, or $79 per year (just $6.58/month) with a 7-day free trial.

Does each family member need the app?

Yes — everyone installs PlatePoll and joins your household so they can vote from their own phone. Votes sync over iCloud. Just one person needs to subscribe to Pro.

What data does PlatePoll collect?

As little as possible. Your location is used only to find nearby restaurants, your votes live in your own iCloud, and there are no ads or tracking. See our Privacy Policy for details.
